OLIVIA MAYLAM'S HORSES

Strike Force   Dansili - Miswaki Belle (USA) (Miswaki (USA)

Three wins, two seconds and a third in his last eleven races makes this 7 y-old bay gelding  a model of consistency and somewhat of a stable star.  Beautifully bred by Cheveley Park he is a half brother to, amongst others Danehurst, Mighty and Humouresque, who between them have won 18 races and about £400,000 in prize money.  He will be kept going on the all-weather and then rested on turf until summer as he has quite a strong preference for decent ground.

Caldermud  Chineur (FR) - Dalal (Cadeaux Genereux)

A recent acquisition for Ormonde Racing and the first of many horses they will be buying for up and coming young trainer Olivia Maylam.   Caldermud showed decent maiden form for John Best before seeming to go wrong.  Olivia and the talented jockey Kylie Manser have taken their time nursing this lovely chestnut gelding back to full health and hopefully he will be seen out over the minimum trip sometime in the new year.

Pickled Pumpkin   Compton Place - Woodbury (Woodborough)

A nicely made 3 y-old chestnut colt whose dam Woodbury is a half sister to Borderlescott, Pickled Pumpkin somewhat blotted his copybook on debut as he unseated Hayley Turner shortly after the start.  He ran a great deal better next time however, when a staying on 5th behind very hot 2/13 fav Quality Art at Kempton.  He is still quite green and will greatly improve once handicapping.

Dasho   Dubawi - New Choice (IRE) (Barathea (IRE)

A compact and neat looking 3 y-old chestnut colt Dasho made his debut over 7f at Wolverhampton in January.  Ridden prominently by Hayley Turner he showed great guts and determination to repel all comers in the straight to win by 1/2l.  This was a reasonably competitive looking maiden for the track with a well fancied Alan McCabe runner filling the runner up spot and a very well bred debutante from David Elsworth's in the form of Westhaven, a half brother to the gr. 2 winner Barshiba.  Great things are expected especially when stepping up to 1m plus.

Masteeat  Delaware Township (USA) - White Hot Cat (USA) (Tactical Cat (USA)

A cast off from John Best, this 4 y-old chestnut filly showed a vast improvement in her 3rd run for Olivia only being beaten 1/2l for a place at 40/1.  She seemed to get tapped for toe and then stayed on again late and it might be that a step back up to a mile will see her in an even better light.

Fedora (IRE)  Cape Cross -  Mahamuni (IRE)  (Sadlers Wells (USA)

A beautifully bred daughter of Sadlers Wells out of a winning French mare this 5 y-old mare has been runner up in decent company in Ireland 3 times before coming over to England to be trained by Olivia.  She has had just the one start here, at Kempton over 7f, not settling early on for Kylie Manser before coming home with a great deal of promise to be beaten just over 4l by a very well regarded horse of Robert Mills.  She will be seen to even better effect when stepped up in trip to 1m+.

Why Nee Amy  Tipsy Creek (USA) - Ashleen (Chilibang)

A winner of 3 races this 5 y-old daughter of Tipsy Creek will be campaigned predominantly on the all weather and on decent ground on turf as all her best performances have come on good to firm or a polytrack surface such as those at Lingfield, Kempton and Wolverhampton.

Saviour Sand  Desert Son - Teacher Preacher (IRE) (Taufan USA)

A winner 3 times this half brother to Profits reality and Key Partners who have won 10 times between them will be campaigned on the all weather before possibly going back over hurdles where he has already been placed in novice company.

Lady Morganna  Diamond Green(FR) - Lucky Flirt (USA) (Gulch (USA)

Runner up twice in maiden company for Gay Kellerway both at Lingfield and Wolverhampton this 3 y-old bay filly has only just arrived at Chalk Pit Stables but has been working well and looks the type to improve with age.

Ramora (USA)  Monsun (GER) - Madame Cerito (USA) (Diesis)

A 5 y-old daughter of Monsun, Ramora was placed in her first 5 races before seeming to lose her form for Henry Cecil.  She transferred to Olivia's care and she won on her 3rd run for the yard at a very rewarding 40/1 under a great ride from Kylie Manser.  She has subsequently run well back at the track when 2nd to hot favourite Dontpaytheferryman and seems to relish the stamina test which is 1 1/2 miles around Southwell.

Mad Ginger Alice  Beat Hollow - Peryllys (Warning)

A beautifully bred daughter of Beat Hollow out of a Warning mare Peryllys who has produced 7 individual winners who between them have won 16 races.  She has been a little slow coming to hand but should be ready to run very soon.  She has a great personality and very much resembles her name!

Here Come The Girls  Falbrav (IRE) - Always On My Mind (Distant Relative)

This 5 y-old daughter of Falbrav has been almost exclusively campaigned on the all weather for Bill Turner coming 2nd twice over 9f at Wolverhampton.  Now transferred to Olivia she will be hoping to pick up one or two small races.

Crazy In Love  Bertolini (USA) - Fission (Efisio)

A 3y-old chestnut filly owned and bred like Here Come The Girls by Mascalls Stud and also previously trained by Bill Turner.  She has finished 2nd twice at beverley and Bath and is hopefully getting down to a handicap mark from which she can be competitive.

4 y-old filly  Reset (AUS) - Indian Flag (IRE) (Indian Ridge)

3 y-old filly  Bahamian Bounty (GB) - Indian Flag (IRE) (Indian Ridge)
